Two church members' wives sat mending their husband's trousers. One of them said to the other, "My poor John, he is so discouraged with the church. He said the other day he was considering leaving. Nothing seems to go right, and he's just not getting anything out of it."
The other wife, whose husband attended the same church, replied. "Why my husband was saying just the oppsite. He is so enthused, it seems like the Lord is closer to him than ever before."
A hushed silence fell as they continued to mend the trousers: ONE PATCHING THE KNEES AND THE OTHER THE SEAT.
